Are Your Tennis Balls at the Right Pressure?
One of the common issues in tennis clubs and for players is using tennis balls with improper internal pressure. Soft or dead balls can significantly impact game performance and even increase the risk of injuries. Unfortunately, many clubs and players don’t realise that their balls are not performing at their best.
A Common Misconception
Most players and coaches judge the condition of tennis balls based on their appearance and the quality of the felt. However, this can be misleading. Even brand-new balls that have never been used can lose their internal pressure if they’ve been out of their pressurised cans for a few months. While they may still look new on the outside, they are no longer suitable for proper play.
Our Solution to This Problem
After thorough research and testing, our team identified the need for an accurate way to assess the true condition of tennis balls. That’s why we designed the ReboundMeter, a Tennis Ball Assessment Device that uses the ITF (International Tennis Federation) Ball Assessment Standards to reliably evaluate ball performance.
How Does It Work?
The ReboundMeter follows the ITF Ball Assessment Standards, where the ball is dropped from a height of 100 inches. According to the ITF standard, a tennis ball should have a rebound between 53 and 58 inches. If the rebound is higher or lower than this range, the ball does not meet the required standard and is considered unsuitable for play.
A Precise and Practical Solution
The ReboundMeter helps clubs ensure they are providing players with tennis balls that meet proper standards, avoiding the issues caused by substandard balls. By using this device, you can be confident that your players are always using the best balls for their game.
